Pomologist: Pomology is that branch of horticulture which covers various areas such as production, storage, processing, processing and addition of fruits which are also known as important sources of antioxidants, carbohydrates, protein and vitamins. This industry is one of the popular industries which contribute extensively in the economy of different countries. This is why pomology is very important. Pomology is very important for the growth of new hybrid fruit cultivators. Generally, Pomologists are well familiar with INM – Integrated Nutrient Management, Breeding Technology, IPM – Integrated Pest Management Technique and protected cultivation techniques. While studying this course, students will be taught the quantitative and qualitative traits of fruits in terms of disease – resistance and flavour.Notebooks

Olericulturist: The area which focuses on the vegetable culture is called ‘Olericulture’. Professionals who work on the activities which help in the growth of vegetables are known as “Olericulturist”. This is one of the best important branches of horticulture which has endless employment scope for various jobs and career opportunities. Olericulturist professionals can have different work opportunities in the different areas such as industry, universities, research institutes and other departments. These professionals are required in both personal as well as private sector.

Floriculturist: Floriculture is one of the most popular branches of Msc in horticulture which focuses on the study of marketing and growth of foliage plants and flowers. This branch of horticulture is popular as various activities such as ornamental plants and cultivation of flowering are included in this. The raw materials of ornamental plants are used in the pharmaceutical, perfume and cosmetic industries. Professionals who perform various activities under floriculture are known as floriculturist.

ELIGIBILITY

  • To be eligible for MSc horticulture, candidates should have completed degree from a recognized university with min 50% marks and if min 45% for the students who belong to reserved category.
  • If you have given examination of final year of graduation but the result is awaited, you can also apply for MSc in horticulture. However; while students are supposed to submit their all documents during the final admission round including graduation’s result.

Path E: From 28th May to 11th July 2020: Path E shall be announced subject to seat availability.

B) On the date of scheduled joining time the student shall report at the venue on time, wherein briefing of the institute, rules and regulations etc. shall be given to the students. The students should carry the following documents along with the following certificates in original for verification:

  • 8 passport size photographs.
  • TC & Migration Certificate.
  • Character certificate from the last school attended.
  • 10th class mark sheet & passing certificate.
  • 12th class mark sheet & passing certificate.
